Hello all I just got a new computer and now my v3 wont connect to p2k man, p2k tools, motokit, or p2k commander but it works fine with mpt. Whats the problem and how can I fix it. Also windows found the new hd device (v3 razr) and installed it and now the modem shows up in my control panel but when my phone is connected is says modem not preset. Please help

also everytime I plug my phone into the computer it makes the sound off the phone connected then unconnected then connected again

I have had a similar issue forever. I fire up MFF (multi flash flex) first and it connects, then i load up the P2k software I want. I have tried all versions of drivers, cleaning out the old each time, with no effect.

I have to do that too... Always gotta load MFF before any modding... other than that its just charging...

I have the same issue with my laptop. I have 2 pc. One which I have PST installed and one without. The one with PST installed I can switch to P2K mode, where as the other one without PST I can't. However it used to work with the E398, but not the V3. Perhaps it require PST to install the Motorola P2K drive drivers first.

Yeah..its not a huge deal for me...I was actually relieved to find out that I could even use p2k at all...even if it requires an extra step

wirelessdude04, open the device manager and then connected the phone to your P2K program. A Motorola USB device will open in device manager along with three interface devices, reload the P2K drivers for each interface device. It worked for my V551 with the same problems you had.

The only problem is, there is not other 3 interface devices, just the Motorola USB modem.

with the phone connected to the computer a Motorola USB modem will show up in device manager. When P2Ktools is opened in P2k mode the modem will close and a Motorola USB device will open.

for me it worked like this..
went to the device manager found the motorola usb modem ... then to the driver/details ... saw the filenames of the drivers .. delete em .. and the reconnect the phone and when the new hardware wizard pop up .. point it at p2k drivers ..
And it worked ..

but then the phone will never charge over usb right? I'd rather have it default to charging and switch into p2k mode

Hey i have the saaaaaaame problem as wirelessdude04, i dont understand all this talk about drivers and things like this how do i point my drivers to p2k or watever? Where can i get the right drivers? I can use MPT perfectly but i cant connect my Razr to P2k
any help is greatly apreciated thanks

I have the same problem with my t-mobile razar v3 I downloaded p2k and the drivers from motomodder.net and the program keep telling me the phone is not connect and wont connect help
