plz help with drivers didnt recieve any with my cable the #s on it is kq-u8a wt048000317
any help would be geatly appreciated
ive read other posts were i can get drivers but when i go there they have been removed or not there pm me leave some lnks or something been searching for 3 days now nothing
if someone can get this cable working i have about 260 games for the phone ill give for the help ive tried 10 different drivers no luck just says found a usb-uart controller

I found a driver and it works. download it from: http://www.toxicfire.com/~isleepinabucket/Driver01.zip

Instructions are this... unzip the files into a folder and then run the cable_driver application and then restart your system... then attach the cable and point to the folder that you unzipped the files to.

I almost had a heart attack when it worked for me.

Let me know if it works.

I just recieved my usb data cable from an ebay auction. its the kq-u8a. it came with a disk with drivers. its seems to be setup but I don't see it in the folders. It does appear under modems. I downloaded bitpim and tried to get that software to work but it won't detect my phone (LG vx8100). if anyone has any suggestions I would be indebted for...a while.

Hi guys...

I have posted a newer version of the driver. It is at the same location, same link.

All you have to do is run the program, then connect the usb cable. When the wizard comes up just let it search for the driver automatically and click on "yes" or "OK", i dont remember exactly, when it asks you for confermation.

I just joined these forums to let you know that I was having the same problem as a lot of other folk out there and couldn't find any drivers to work with the data cable.

Then I discovered your post and the link to the driver that worked!!

You connect with bitpim. You choose other CDMA phone and you will have to use the filesystem tab. The other tabs wont work.

it should create a folder right in your root directory... all you need to do is connect your phone and start up bitpim
