Hi guys.

I know you can connect an ipod to the 360 and i cant seem to find the page where it has a list of items you can connect to it so has anyone tried connecting a windows 2003 smartphone to the 360

Myn is a SPV C500 (SMT5600) with windows media player 10 on it

The smt5600 is the only smartphone that would work if any. It is the only smartphone that is recognized as a Play for Sure device as listed on www.playforsure.com which is Microsoft DRM compatible site.

No, the SMT5600 won't work with the Xbox 360. The 5600 requires ActiveSync for communications which the 360 doesn't have.

What would you be able to do if you could connect them??
I mean, what good is connecting something like a phone or IPOD to the xbox? Maybe you can use the phone to connect the xbox to the internet, but I dunno...

I've read that you can connect an iPod to a 360 for the music as an alternate game soundtrack, but I don't know what the interface is or if it's just a "line out" from the iPod to the 360. The fact that it's been touted to work with "ipods" and not "mp3 players" leads me to believe that it may be a proprietary interface - but this IS apple and microsoft, afterall.....

I'd check xbox forums.

I guess that its just the line out from the IPOD (the headphone jack) being connected to the XBOX, it makes the most sense.
