Hi & nice to meet you all!

I have purchased a 3220b from the USA. I successfully unlocked it but it has no network service in Australia. It accepts my sim ok and I can access everything else in the phone just no network. It is NOT blocked/barred or anything like that. It is triband so that's not the problem. Hoping one of you guys can help me here!

It's triband alright. But it's probably the North American triband. 850/1800/1900 Which means it does not have the 900 band as the eurasian version. The carrier you are tyrying to use may be using the 900 band.

Thanks, but we use 1800. I contacted a phone guy over here and he said it can be fixed easily but naturally wouldn't tell me what it was. I've searched everywhere I can think of for the solution and now it's a mission. Found some info that was talking about filters????? but the phone guy said it wasn't that.
