LG vX9800 compatibility

Does anyone know if the Bitpim and the data cable used to connect the 6000 and 8100 to your computer will work with the 9800? I'm looking to get a new phone (I currently have the 6000) and really like being able to make my own ringers. I know I can still do that with the 8100 but was wondering if that's possible with the 9800. If anyone has any answers I'm all ears. Thanks.

I can't say anything about the cables but a I just got a cheap (TRENDnet) Bluetooth USB Adapter and it works flawlessly.

I use bluetooth, but I've heard others say that the 8100 cables work.

8100 cable does work on the 9800

The 7000 cable works on the 9800.
