Ok, i hear the gd87 doesnt let you take pics any bigger than the screen size, so if i put them on a computer, they would be the size of the phone screen? Can and will this be fixed by software? The sanyo 5300 pics look awesome, and they are pretty big too when posted on the computer. So let me know, i dont want the camera to be useless! and also, PLEASE post some pics taken with your gd87! i appreciate it thanks!

OK, you have been posting on this forum regularly. You know the issues with the camera. Why should this be rehashed yet again?
I use my camera all of the time. I think it is pretty cool. What works for me may not work for you. I have a 3MP cannon that fits in my shirt pocket and a 5MP Nikon for real shooting. This Pana mobile camera is sweet just to have with me all of the time. I used GD87 to illustrate my xmas list. I took pictures of a woman shoplifting a store, which have been given to the DA along with my testimony. If I want to make the picture bigger, I can make it double the size without too much degradation in clarity. I do this in MS word.

I think the better question is, what do people use there mobile camera for? Are you just gripping to complain about something or is there a real issue here. To draw a comparison, This past year if you bought a Mustang Cobra (Top of the line Ford sports car) it will have a smaller engine than if you bought the less expensive Firebird Trans am (Top of the line Pontiac sports car). The Pontiac is quicker and faster but the Ford is more expensive. The Cobra is more exotic than the trans am and there are fewer on the road. To a question which car is better?

I actually dont know the details on the camera issue, thats why i asked. Will there be a firmware update? Anyways, I am deciding to get the gd87 right after christmas, because the p800 is like 800 bucks (the cheapest i found, out of italy) so ill just get it later. But does anyone know where i could get a gd87 cheaper than 559? Is anyone going to HK or anything where i hear its around 400-450 USD? Whats weird is I have a mustang, lol but not a cobra. And around here, the mustang cobra is actually cheaper than the trans am WS6 and i think the trans am is more 'rare' around here. Those are like my 2 fav. cars.......besides vipers, vanquish, murcielago, etc....lol

People could you post some pics taken with the gd87 cam? that'd be cool, thanks!

If you use search you find all that and more so use it please, as far as the camera enough for me too, is fun and very usefull, but for better pics my Sony P-9 4.0 megapixels

i think the pic size is not a black point for this mobile phone.
that's really enough when you wana send what u see to another mobile.

this is not a camera, this is just a mobile camera...

i think larger pic size is essential for the next firmware upgrade just cuz my t68i + mca-25 can take better pictures... granted, i'm going to take a real camera when i know i need to take pics, but i think it's kinda embarassing when my friends want me to take a pic, and i email them something the size of a zippo

Well, it's wishful thinking I suppose, but the ability to select the size of the pictures you take in a future firmware upgrade would be great Either way I'm fine with it, I agree with you lost_rebel, I use a seperate digital camera to take actual photos, the ones I take with my 88 are just for fun, or MMS messages.
