Does anyone know a way to hard reset a 9300 and restore everything back to factory defaults. Company has moved to BB's and I'm selling my 9300 as I don't have a need for multiple devices. Would like to restore it back as far as possible to factory defaults before selling.
thanks for yr help.
regards
Robert

I *think* it is this.... I actually had it format my phone by doing this, but I take no responsability...

Remove battery
Hold CTRL key down
Hold F key down
Insert battery (while holding keys)
Power on the phone (prolly easier with a friend to press the button)

It will prompt you to confirm the format.

thats it!

It ha come to my attention that the keys to be pressed are CTRL+SHIFT+F, not only CTRL+F

I'm so tired of all the "almost-correct" instructions that makes this FAIL!!!
This is the CORRECT one, I'VE DONE IT a dozen times now to pinpoint EXACTLY what is needed!!

Follow this instruction TO THE LETTER:
--------------------------------------
  1. Restart the device. NOTE: You DO NOT have to remove the battery!! You can JUST AS WELL
use a FREE tool like TaskSpy: http://www.pushl.com/taskspy/
The restart option in TaskSpy is in the menu under "Tools"; Hotkey is Shift+Ctrl+R
    (Non-related bug issue in v0.96: do NOT press the Menu key while in Preferences: TaskSpy crashes and burns;
use the ARROW keys in stead!)
  2. When the image that says "NOKIA" comes up,
  3. press AND HOLD Shift+Ctrl+F(don't stress, there's PLENTY of time) and
  4. KEEP HOLDING KEYS(this is the CRUCIAL point) until you FIRST get A BLANK SCREEN, and
  5. KEEP HOLDING KEYS(this is the SECOND crucial point) until it prompts you to confirm the format!
You're welcome.

And BTW, it's "Shift+Ctrl" and NOT "Ctrl+Shift", so you're "shifting" a control character
and not "controlling" a capital letter. But this is just formal: it actually doesn't
matter if you press the Shift before the Ctrl or the Ctrl before the Shift,
as long as you press the character LAST.

Good Luck!
