whats the difference between 6fr and 44r?

You can use the 6FR reflash but you WILL lose some settings, something to do with seems changed.

Cannot just reflash 6FR into 4XR. It wont work and you will have a lot of bugs and video rec/itunes wont work without the new GIKK flex.

Hm, manage to flash PCMMod into my phone using MFF PST 7.2.3 without a problem.

Then using MPT 3.4i to restore my calendar. My WAP and MMS is working wonderfully well and when backing up using FlashBackup 2.5, the pc identify the hp as E398e. Overall, u have done a great job muncheno!

I did encounter a bit of an obstacle but nothing too serious. This is some of it:

1) Tried to record using the video camera. Unfortunately it can last up to 3 minutes=3.2MB only. Hm, that's weird. So I jack up my pkman and download the 004e_0001 seem and go to offset 410. It seem that on 02/03 (for transflash) there is this value 1400. So I change it to FFFF and upload the seem and tried to record again. This time it last up to 8.34minutes=6.5MB. (without any error, cool!). I'm pretty happy with the longer recording time (compare to the 1.3minutes) but my question is isnt it suppose to last up to 20MB? (By the way I have a 128MB transflash card)

2) Next the MMS Setup. No Default option so I just have to edit the current MMS server there

3) The Camera still use exposure but I manage to change it to brightness already

Well, so far that's it. No problem so far and best of all, stabile.

Next test will be the battery. Have yet to test the RadioComm 8.1.4 to see the 6FR longevity on battery. Will throw iTunes though (never like it

my phone's LCD doesnt' turn off while charging, and it seems like it never "finishes" charging, and the battery doesnt' last long at all... i'll try the battery mod thing ... but does anyone have a funlight.pat that turns the LCD off during charging?

Here. Still sometimes LCD comes on, not much you can do.

Do you realise or not it is much more useful to have exposure over brightness? Exposure can compensate more, when you take photo outdoor or at very dim area. Brightness will only make your picture difficult to edit. Just my 2-cent.

I have 2 suggestions for your next version:

1) include the fixed charging LCD backlight funlight.pat

2) the iTunes icon in the main menu has a "blue" background, and it looks funny with skins that have white menus. Can you remove the background from the icon, or make it transparent?

Everything else seems fantastic so far!

Here's what I've modified:
unlimited video recording
mp4 recording format
xxx-xxx-xxxx dialing format (instead of xxxxxxxxxx)
funlight.pat replacement
louder gain table
added windows vista skin
maybe more, can't remember

I'd agree with the above, maybe make nicer DRM for vidrec/itunes icon. Video recording should be 3GP, the quality is exactly the same but the standard format for phone video is 3GP not MP4. Both 3GP/MP4 use the H263 codec for compression, its only the container format that changes.

Also maybe consider a readme inside the archive with commonly asked questions and maybe common SEEM edits, would be helpful I'm sure.

when i install new skins for one this MP, i have the font/text surrounded by a think grey border and it looks terrible. Is there something i have to change in these skins?

I had PCMMod 1.2 @ 44R before and the new PCMMod 1.4c feels to be a little slower but not as slow that i would care of it. But i have another bug. My phone today just didnt receive Messages or calls but the menus or other functions worked. I switched of the phone and started it again. After that several Messages and Voicemail calls came in.

I'll have an eye on this if it happens again i will reflash my full PCMMod 1.2 Backup.

hey muncheno, iv'e upgraded from ROKR 1.2 44r to this version and itunes doesn't work at all, only the unlimited recording video
the itunes says like the previous version: "unsupported on this platform"
can i fix this?

I tried doing this 'unlimited' video recording on my ROKR E1 with no luck. When i edited that 004e seem and changed the 412/413 value to FFFF, it still 1.3 minutes, although the little slider along the bottom has changed, making the user believe it's whatever's left on that tf card..

anyone know..??

Hi muncheno!

When i listen to the music (mp3,128kbps) with firmware 6FR is so BAD, but in 45R so GOOD!
my phone speaker nearly break if i use PCMMod 1.4c
in PCMMod1.2 everything is OK, loud music with high quality.

can you reduce bass when play music by iTunes?
