My buddy just text messaged me from HK. Current price for the Panasonic GD87 is $600 USD. Does that sound right to you guys? Seems a bit overpriced at this time.

I thought that the GD87 and the GD88 were the same phone except one was intended for the American market? If I'm wrong, please tell the what the difference is.

GD87 is for European markets and GD88 is for the HK/Asian markets I believe. The upcoming GU87 will be for the North American markets. Correct me if i'm wrong.

It's a overpriced because I remember it was between HKD$4000-4500 about 3 weeks ago. For that price you may want to get the GD88, unless you don't need Chinese support.

I also think you may want to wait for GU-87 in North America.
