I'll get right to it....I just put a Nokia 6256i on my Verizon account and I am having trouble getting pics uploaded to it from Nokia PC Suite. I just downloaded last night so it should be most recent version. I pick a picture in the "Create Wallpapers" application, size/crop it...but when I go to "upload to phone" THERE IS NO 6256 IN THE PICK A PHONE LIST!!!! My phone is recognized by Nokia PC Suite for everything else except this function...I notice that the Nokia 6255 also isn't listed in that application's drop menu. Can anyone help explain to me how to get around this or what my malfuntion might be? I am a Verizon dealer, so I know that they are trying to drive business through Get It Now....but I was surprised that they won't even allow me to upload pictures through Nokia's own software. @#$@!!

Ok,
I'm not a great computer software genius so bear with me if you are and you find this much less an accomplishment than I do. I got both .amr tone and a downsized jpeg converted by BitPim 8.03 (for my LG VX9800) both on my Nokia 6256i by using the Nokia PC Suite "File Manager" application. I went into the phones' "C" drive to "Galleries" then to "Tones" and dragged the .amr file into the folder and I dragged the converted .jpeg into the "Images" folder. When I went back into my phone both were there, and both were usable. The .amr file was from another Nokia thread so I'm not sure what will happen if I try and drag an .MP3 file into the "Tones" folder yet. It's kinda funny because when I double clicked the icons for the existing "Tones" they all wouldn't open because they were "copyrighted files". Not sure if this is a loophole or I'm just not smart enought to know this is how it should be done in the first place...either way I'm stoked!

I usually just use the phone browser function in pc suite, copy and paste, just like windows programs, works like a charm for me. You can also use the drag and drop method.
