I BOUGHT A MINI SD CARD AND CONVERTED FILES TO MP3 FROM DISC USING MUSICMATCH. when I put the card in the reader, the reader sees that the disc(MP3's) are on the MINI card, but when I take the mini card out of the port, and put it in the phone, it says
"memory card empty" when i hit the mp3 function on the phone. When I put it back into the computer, the card reads data. What I am looking to do is convert CD's to MP3's and load them onto my vx8100. Any help out there?

Format the memory card in the phone, then manually transfer the mp3s to the SD-card through the phone using a USB cable and BitPim or QPST.

You Do NOT need to use a USB cable, BITPIM, QPST or anything weird to transfer MP3's to the miniSD card.
Once you format the card in the PHONE just put it in the SD sleeve, place that in an SD card reader and DRAG & DROP the MP3 files into the "MY_MP3" folder that was created.

If you got an older version of the VX8100, the mp3 is not active. If your box doesn't have a blue dot on it then most likely you will have to upgrade the software. You have to got to a store that can upgrade your phone software.
