I have an unlocked tmobile blackerry.. What do I need to do to get this on cingular? And if I bring my own phone, do I have to sign a contract on cingular?

Thanks!

My situation is almost identical. I have an unlocked cingular BB and want to use it with Tmobile. Anyone know what to do?

You need a SIM with service and a BB data plan. From what I've heard the carriers will probably require a contract regardless of whether or not you bring a device of your own. However, there's no way to be sure until you contact them yourselves...

Correct. A few days ago I bought an unlocked 8700c, popped in my T-Mobile SIM, and started using it. But if you don't have a SIM, then you have to buy one. I've bought a SIM without also buying a phone. The advantage is more flexibility in the length of the plan, since you are not getting a subsidy on the phone price.
