need help...husband messed up the phone lol

well we have keyocera se44 sliders. husband was trying to put wallpaper on with bitpim and accidently deleted a file in the screensavers directory. now the phone goes to hourglass and just shuts off. any ideas? and no of course he didnt make any backups. thanks

Hi,
From what I can tell I think your Slider SE44 is a goner. I ended up doing something similar and now my slider won't work. If you need an extra slider, I have a couple on Ebay that I will put on tomorrow if you want me to. They are perfectly fine. I have to many. They all work great. PM me and I will let you know my ebay user ID. Moncreations.

If the phone can still communicate with the computer, all you have to do is replace that file. If I had one of these particular phones I could help. Then again, this guy COULD send you a copy of the file, but he's to busy telling you you are screwed, and trying to make a sale.

Thanks all...went to our company and playedd stupid ie: we dont know what happened..it just wont come on...they sent it to the company and we went home with a new phone lol. finally figured out what we were doing

Hey kb9wgx, your not being very nice. I am not trying to make a sale. I was just trying to help out. I have the same problem and I am just determining that the person may be out of luck like it sems I am. Since YOU are so quick to make a judgemnt why don't YOU try and HELP to get my husbands phone back to normal. I just have 2 extra sliders that I was going to sell. But would like to try and revive my husbands phone. The phone will not communicate with the computer. Bitpim just keeps timing out. Try and be a little less judgemental. Moncreations.

I'd be glad to help out, but unfortunately I don't have a slider, I have a kx16 candid. If there was anything I could do I would.

Here's an easy way to get a new phone: 1. Go to Best Buy 2. Buy a new slider. 3. Put your broken slider in the box 4. Return it
