Buying a new phone in 2 days- HELP!! Can Slider remix KX5 recieve files via USB?

So here's the deal. I am a Bluegrass Cellular customer (small cell company based out of KY) and I am considering buying either the Kyocera Remix or the Motorola V710(bluetooth). The phone I have that I absolutely love is my Nokia 3650 series 60 smartphone which allows me to transfer whatever I want back and forth from PC to phone via bluetooth with no probs whatsoever however it is a gsm phone and Bluegrass Cell is CDMA network...anyway, my question is: since the box contains a USB cable, can I download ringers, wallpapers, games etc. from the net and transfer them to my phone? If I can't do it out of the box, is there a hack available that will enable me to? If this isn't possible, does anyone know if the V710 has this capability via Bluetooth? Much thanks in advance.

Yea i jus heard that u can download mp3s with the cable and use the mp3's as ringtones on the remix but i don't know about wallpapers.

Cool. Thx for the reply. I'm really hoping I can download some games and put them on the phone too. The cell company is offering a free Bluetooth headset with purchase of the Motorola v710 which would be really nice to have but I'm not going for that phone just for the headset. To me it's just not worth having BT for that when my Nokia 3650 does so much more.

yes you can transfer mp3 ringers as well as wallpapers, any image from your PC to the remix, not sure about games though, but ringers/sounds/pictures all work via USB

where do you transfer ringers/sounds/pictures though? are ther certain dirs you must create on the transflash card? are there certain formats the files must be in? like a res for the pic or something?

No and no.

Use your phone to format the transflash card, and it will automatically create the necessary directories for your media.

As far as I have tested, there are no special formats needed for .MP3 files and ringers, although the phone is a bit picky about image formats.

Nero hsa a utility called called PhotoSnap that saves pics that have been 100% compatible with my KX2/Koi and KX5/Remix every time!:

I believe the phone uses brew. If so, you are ****ed. You will not beable to send games intill the code is cracked.

Aghhh... It's SO easy to get Symbian games too

totally not fair. At least I can do ringers and pix. I couldnt get an animated gif to play as the wallpaper but it worked fine as the screensaver. I suspect this phone is capable of much, much more than what it appears. Time shall tell
