So I'm trying to get pictures off of my VX7000, and I figured that BitPim would be the answer with out really knowing, but BitPim doesn't even detect my phone, and then the drivers that come with the phone - Well they must just be drivers as I don't see any software that it installed.

So what am I supposed to be doing?

I did try some minor searching, but this entire cell phone mucking around is VERY new to me so I really don't have any idea as to what I should be using as search terms in the first place.

Thanks for your patience in advance

What drivers did you install?

The ones that came with the box?

Um... I'm not quite sure because I kinda tossed the box when I got it (I didn't want to carry the box around all day)... And the CD does not have any markings other then "US Data Cable Driver" and the USB logo - The (mini) CD is half white and half blue if that means anything though...

:-/

To make sure the drivers are installed correctly follow this process.

Plug in your cable and it should popup a window. Select install from a list or specific location - Click Next - Select the location of the drivers, Then click Next. Windows should find and install the drivers for you.

If a window doesnt popup when you plug in your cable. Click Start - Settings - Control Panel - Add Hardware - Next - Yes I have already connected the hardware - Next - USb Device - Next. Now follow the rest of the steps above.

I did what you said but it's still not working...

Right after I go through the installing the drivers it restarts the process - Seconds after I have finished... I didn't even disconnect it (and reconnect it).

Sorry for the double post (I can't seem to find the edit button/link).

I got it working - The problem was I was directing it to the Windows XP drivers instead of just letting it find them on the CD by its self. Thanks mhe77 for the assistance.

No problem. Good to see you got it working.
