Will a siemens S40 charger and headset work in a Siemens S55?

Mitz,
The s55 uses a completely new interface and similar to the C55 found in Europe and maybe Cingular when it comes out. Therefore at the moment there are no accessaries for it, i.e. car charger, headset, etc..

However I read somewhere that you can download new software update for the C55 and flash the phone yourself with the enclosed data cable. If this is the case and the c55 is similar to the s55 then it will be great because we can all update our software on the s55 without having to send the phone anywhere.

MitzEclipse: S40 is not made by Siemens, it's a Bosch. So S40-accessories is not compatible with any other real Siemens-mobiles.

As far as I know everything is still in Europe. You will have to order it from a German dealer. They have not sent anything to the US yet.
