something is taking up my freespace without me installing anything or downloading anything. it keeps going down every day and i have to uninstall something for it to have space again. the annoying message that keeps popping up and beeping telling me i'm running out of free space is always there. how do i find out what's using my space and how do i turn off that message?

Open the file manager, open the windows folder, look for a file called evtlog.txt. See how big it is. I bet a dollar its over 10MB...

Delete it. This is a log of your battery condition. I'm still not sure what program causes it, or why it grows so big so quickly. But I am getting used to deleting it regularly.

Can any of you HOFO'rs give a complete tutorial on how to resolve this problem once and for all??

wow it's 24Mb. it wont let me delete. i unchecked hidden file/archive and it still wont let me delete.

Try deleting from your computer using the ActiveSync explorer. If that doesn't work, you may want to try a third party app like Smartphone Explorer EN. I delete using that.

i was able to delete it by renaming it. another question though, with the asian rom, i've never been able to delete gotone.exe /.jpg. i tried smart explorer en, i tried activesync, everything, it wont let me delete it. everytime i reboot my phone there's a stupid number added to my phonebook in chinese. how do i get rid of that?

I deleted that file --- made a BIG difference!
