i bought a kx2 on ebay and went into a verizon store to activate it bit it is now in roaming because the security code is not the default and i cannot figure out the security code does anyone have any ideas?

Review just in case...

Default for ALL VZW security/lock codes is the last 4 digits of the most recent activated telephone number. If not try 1234 or 0000

Default for ALL VZW programming codes (programming acessed by dialing 111111 and selecting Service) which is what I think you are looking for is 00000 or 000000 depending on the code, basically its all zeros.

Quick Reference:
Lock Code: (last 4 digits of MTN)
Programming Codes: all zeros

BUT you said defaults aren't working... have your phone flashed in-store and it should restore all settings that may have been screwed up by the strange world of e-Bay sellers. Then re-activate (double check the ESN) and do your *22899 (OTA programming) which should be done in store by the customer service rep. Bring this with you so that you can confirm the steps. If they play stupid with you, then they are being lazy and do not want to help you in which case feel free to write a letter to a manager and PM me about it and maybe I could help you a bit more.
