I was going to order this phone, or at least wait until the 8125 was released. As they dont have them in store yet I have to wait anyways. Im just curious as to why they dont have the 2125 on cingular.com anymore? I might be overreacting, but did I read everything right about these two phones and the many problems they have been faced with.

Curious if I should just get the Moto MPx220? Id like Wifi, but my main purpose of the cell phone is Emailand MP3.

The do that all the time, especially with new phones. When the phone becomes out of stock and they get too many orders in back order, they take out the phone from the website until new stock arrives.

Initail reports are people are very happy with the 2125, NO?

The 2125 is built by HTC which has a very good track record in producing reliable Windows Mobile smartPhone (eg AudioVox SMT5600, iMate sp*)

The 2125 does not have WiFi BTW. For that you should consider the iMate SP5 or Qtek 8300 series. I have an SP5 and the internet browsing on WiFi is fast, and very readable thanks to the SP5's hi-res LCD.

That's probably why they sold out so fast. The 2125 is a great phone and at $199 with contract, a good sign for Windows Mobile 2005 and Microsoft. Finally, an afordable Windows Smart Phone and with WM 2005, what seems like a reliable, mature phone OS.

I received mine on December 14 and have been very happy with it in all aspects except for the fact that (1) the power button sucks, and (2) my wife's EVDO connection on Verizon makes my EDGE connection look like dialup.

Does the 2125 not have WiFi, or is it present and disabled?

If it's just disabled, would reflshing it with an SP5 ROM (same phone, isn't it?) fix the issue?

It's missing the hardware.

The 2125 is an HTC Faraday, not an HTC Tornado.
