Just to let you know i am on Cingular....

i just got my slvr in the mail ( from Italy, its a TIM), and i was told that the roaming arrow on top of the screen would go away.... it does, 1% of the time, how can i fix that? It says it is Quad-Band. i heard that you can not go on the internet when that arrow is on? it says GPRS network is not available?

one other thing, i can not find where i put in my WAP settings? and i can not send or receive picture messages? but regular text messages do work... do you guys know how i can fix this? please help...

thanks for all of your help.
by the way this phone is awesome,
Eric

you'll have to set up WAP cingular settings under web sessions.

Posted by: CyberGreg

Start HERE on the Cingular web site. It won't list a SLVR but pick the ROKR and you'll get the settings for MMS and web sessions.

i do not have web access on my settings list..... so how do i get to the web settings, let me know thanks you.
eric
p.s. remember that this is a TIM slvr from Italy, so the settings and stuff are different.

lol! first change the language to english perhaps then you can help us help you....

Seriously... you've got to give us more info, start by listing all the choices on the main menu. Then look in each and every one and write them all down. Post up so others can help you. Put some effort into, ok?

Happy Holidays

• Service Type 1: HTTP
• Gateway IP: 66.209.11.32
• Port 1: 9201
• Domain 1: leave blank

And now the Cingular web session:

Plus you also have to configure your MMS settings (pick the right server) under Messages, then setup.

man this is frustrating.... thank you for baring with me.

i did exactly what you guys said to do, and i even had a good friend who just bought one also, and both of our phones say "GPRS Network is not available"
why would it say that?

i have a little green triangle on the top of my screen, and i think that means i am roaming, but that should not stop me from going on to the Internet? should it?

sorry guys, this will be the only topic this board will EVER need on the Slvr settings, LOL.

The only thing I can think of now is were there other "web sessions" already entered on your phone? If so did you set the Cingular web to be the default?

What is your software and flex version? I think the SLVR is more like a RAZR (R374) than a ROKR (R373). It might help someone else provide assistance.

Sorry... I don't know what else you can try... as I said when I did that on my E398 (which BTW is not a Cingular supported phone) and I was able to send MMS and text messages and open the web browser.

I hope someone else can help you out.... of course you could always send me your SLVR and I could take a look at it.

Flex= SE5769AXXH2OF2
