I am trying to decide if I should upgrade to the SP5. I currently have the mpx220 and love it. I just have that itch to move on to something else. The only drawback I see to the SP5 is that I can not go hold one before I buy it. I am concerned with the size of the keypad. For anyone that has it can you make any detailed comments or comparisons between the SP5 keypad and the new cingular 2125 keypad? Like I said, I am mostly concerned about the size, but key response, feel and location on the phone are also important. Anyone see any good comparison pics out there between these two phones?

Thanks.

I went from a 220 to a 5600 for a week and I hated it. The reception was way worse on the 5600. This may be cured with the SP5/2125.

The buttons were definitely harder to get used to, but with that said I'm looking in to the 2125 right now.

I went from an MPx220 go an SP5...was looking hard at the 2125 but wanted wifi. The keys are a little small but I got used to it. $300 premium for SP5 over 2125...that's a lot to swallow. I'm still kind of second guessing myself for taking the plunge but so far the SP5 is nothing short of spectacular....time will tell.

I had an 8310 and have a 2125. Keypad wise, I prefer the 2125. I kept hitting the Contact button on the 8310 instead of the End button, and the slightly domed shape of the keys on the 2125 make typing away easier for me. That said, the keypad itself is actually smaller on the 2125 than the 8310/SP5 so it's hard to say which would be better for whom. I have a side by side photo if you'd like to see. PM me and I'll email it to you.

I totally agree with you, I have both the SP5 and the 2125 and prefer the 2125. The small keypad was not a problem since it’s the same as the C500/5600 which I had for a little over a year.

That said I like the keypad of the 2125 better as in one handed operation you can feel which key you are pressing while in the SP5 you have to be looking at the keypad to know which key you are pressing.

The 2125 is smaller than the SP5 except for the hump. I love my 2125!!!

The 8300 is the music or media version of the phone. Just different casing plus media buttons (same as the SP5m). The 8310 is the same as the SP5. More busines-like with dedicated contacts and message buttons.

OK, thanks. I guess I have to decide if the wifi is worth the extra $$ now over the 2125....
