Just got a SK2 off Ebay, but need to unlock keyboard, HELP

So far the seller has not given me his 3 number code to unlock the phone. is there a way to unlock the keyboard without the code?
also seller did not give me an owners booklet so it's going to be hard for me to learn all the features. Is there some place i can buy a book.

There's a way to bypass the screen but no way to take the code off.

To bypass the screen just press menu (upper left) and jump screen (lower left) which take you to emergency call screen after that hold menu (upper left) and while holding menu press the jump screen (lower left) and the back button (lower right) rapidly while still holding the menu button.

But in order to take off the lock you still need the 3 digit number.

The manual is directly accessible from the main screen: menu, help, owner's manual. I think it's also downloadable from T-Mo.

Report the IMEI to T-Mobile and see if it's stolen.

Before you spend a lot of money to activate it you might want to call t-mo and check that the device hasn't been reported stolen - if it is, and you put it online, you cound find yourself in a complex situation.

Does that trick still work? I thought that bug was fixed after the latest OTA update was released...

the trick does work, i just tried it out on my sk cuz i never heard of it before and it worked for me. but it doesn't show the "T-Mobile" banner thing across the top of the screen. Just has a picture of the little circles on the jump button in the top left corner.
