-For accessing phone book problem for chinese language
First use english language, and goto into phonebook > setup.
Change SORT BY: SPEED NO. Your phonebook should be ok to use in Chinese now.
Then change back to chinese, and goto phonebook > setup > SORT BY: NAME.
Your phonebook now can search by name or speed no or chinese method.
(Sorry, this is the only way to access back you phonebook if blocked)

not sure if their included i dont use sms much, this is the UMF ultimate multimedia flex, to add them i believe you just put the images onto your phone

Hi! the idle screen is blank screen, or there is clock on it? On motomodders somebody mentioned that the idle screen is blank, and he doesn't have clock... Is there any seem-edit to change it?

What do I have to change to extend my video recording? (i want as long as I can get )

yea the screen seems to be blank i unno really how to change it i can look in to it but im leavin in bout 15 mins n be bacin 3 days =) lol, umm i think its already on unlimited vid record, vid record depends on how much avaliable space you have

Not related to UMF, but I noticed on your site (nice work too!) you have "E1 Original MP" under ROKR firmware. I'm pretty sure this is for E398, I split the file with shxcodec and it looks like the bootloader is 07D0 not 0AA2... might want to move it or check with someone else first.

edit: oh crap I might be wrong about the BL... hopefully someone knows!

My name is EXP and i com from MOMO. UMF was originally my idea and i am so happy that it has finally become a reality. THe ringtones there are my creations and the walls are compliments from Jason123.

I am here to just give you guys a little bit of information on this MP. UMF can be flashed from any frimware using MFF, even from r372. Actually, we recomend that the ones that are still using r372 go straight to this MP instead of flashing to "42R_for_all" since it is erases your phones BL address. This MP very stable.

After you guys have flashed it i recomend you go here:http://mirror.softcox.com/e398-to-ROKR/

That is Abominations guide to converting to ROKR. Just skip the flashing part and go straight to fixing iTunes method1. But i recomend that you guys use MotoKit for seem editing instead of p2ktools.

Well i think that is about everything!

His server is sending the HTTP Content-type for RAR files incorrectly I guess. Netscape is technically doing the right thing, but using IE just for those files would fix it.

Flashed 2 times on to an E398; one with PST the other with FlashBackup 2.5; both unsuccessfull; resulted flashing power on/off.

Seems that it is not R372 safe.

Despite someone saying you can flash directly from R372, I can confirm that is not true. You need to flash to 42R_for_all first. Then it'll work.

It depends, I went straight from stock R372 to 6FR and it worked fine.

I found a bug in it albeit it pertained to a midlet so its no big deal. It just locks your phone up with a white screen.

I can't use any of the java apps!
I don't know why this is happening, but after installing UMF MP I deleted the skins I didn't like (aV3 and other I don't recall the name). Can this cause the problem?

I switched over to StarterXP 1.42R, because of the battery life. It simply sucks on 6FR. 45R with no iTunes = great battery life, I think it's just like my old R372.

Why is it that the MPs i really dig end up crashing my phone? Tossed umf on the piece, started it up, and it looked freakin' amazing. turned phone off, restarted, and i get the moto splash, then a slow flash on and off. i had the same problem with an earlier MP that was nice, can't remember which. why does the moto screen show up at all? isn't it supposed to launch right in to the custom splash? that's what it did the first time.


Can anyone give me an idea what to do? flashed it twice, to the same effect. i really don't wanna be stuck with BG_MP

when i'm flashing, i have the override box and the powerdown box checked.
should it be different?
