I recently purchased a Motorola E380 as a backup for my V600 for use where I am not allowed to bring a camera phone. I've successfully enabled manual network selection, but it appears that the unlocked/unbranded flex that it came from does not have the engineering menu available.

I can live without the engineering menu.

However the earpiece volue is too low, like my V600 was before I altered it's gain table.

The gain_table.bin file for the E380 is only 840 bytes long while that for the V600 is 1000 bytes, so I don't expect that there is a diret correlation for xlr8's settings. I'm mainly interested in raising the earpiece volume. The first few lines look like they have a similar structure as the gain_table.bin for the V600, but it looks as the values at the offsets listed in map.txt are already quite high (7 or more). I also noticed that some said they have screwed up their E380s and are requesting a replacement gain table, so I'm concerned.

Does anybody out there know the definitive location of the gain value in gain_table.bin for the E380?
