BitPim Calendar Import Questions/Issues

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I have an LG8100 and just installed 8.04 which didn't give me different results than 8.03 so I figured I would inquire about these issues:

1) when I import the calendar from Outlook, all-day events that repeat show up just fine (I usually import them as "individual" events) however all-day events that don't repeat seem to "span" into the next day, causing it to show on both days on the phone. The event doesn't show up visually in BitPim on both days, but if you look at the event details you will see that it starts at day one and ends the next day even though the "all day" box is checked. I have played around with Outlook settings for reminders and busy/free but there is no difference in results. I don't see anything obviously wrong with the details in BitPim other than the end date being wrong. I don't know if this is a bug or if there is some way around this that I couldn't find?

2) I generally import from the current month and end in one year, but the filter setting for the dates doesn't seem to "remember" the last settings used or act "smart" in suggesting an end date later than today. This is a drag having to always scroll thru 12 months of the calendar-picker. Is there a way to have it default start/end choices? If not, and the wonderful creators of this app are seeing this, could it be a possible enhancement?

Thanks in advance!

The next version of bitpim will have the ability to remember the import options, a new autosync feature has been added.

SWEET! (can I assume then the little tiny issue with the all-day events will also be remedied at that time?)

Sweet - if it is what I hope it is!

Can you elaborate on what the "autosync" feature is?

Merry Christmas!

Tom...

I noticed the thing about the all-day meetings showing up in the correct day AND the next day ... The problem seems to be that when they are dumped to the phone it creates the time range of 12am to 12am, and of course that looks like two days. Not sure why. I'll play with it some more ...

Barry, actually the event in BitPim also shows it spanning 2 days, if you look at the event details, not how it looks in the calendar view...
