OK i got a MPx220 off of ebay that was suppost to be new. But there were a few little things that made me believe that it was a refurb. It had the plastic still on all the faces and stuff, but it didnt have all the default settings, some were different, it also came with a generic motorolla box, and came with the mpx200 users manual, not the mpx220. Anyways, and up until today it worked fine, but now i cant recieve calls, it will ring once (for the caller), and then get the "message 1" thing. I dont have voicemail and i never see any missed calls, but nobody call call my phone, i know its my phone because i'm using my old cell and it works perfectly.

BTW when i take pictures, they look really crappy on the phone, but i havent been able to check it on my comp, because my data cable hasent came in yet.

I really need help because i'm about to throw this piece of crap out the window!

Not sure whats wrong but I would try a hard reset and a ROM upgrade, more than likely you have a buggy one.

You need to update your ROM and install fresh Windows 2003 or newest version. A great working MPx220 can not be bought it has to be tweaked and tuned by it's owner. Also you can get dowloads from Handango.com and MoDaCo.com is a great resource.

The OS image is in the ROM WM2003SE is the only version of Windows available for the MPx 220. Also check out my blog, I have alot of registry edits there to improve your phones performance.

thanks for the replys. A friend of mine said she had the same problem, she took her phone to cingular, and they had to get her a new sim card. But i'm gonna try a hard reset, and a rom upgrade frist.

well i put the sim card in today, and it worked. This is so weird. its been working fine ever since...

lol the pictures thing... make sure you have a lot of light! oh and the flash is worthless, it usually makes pictures worse! IF you have it in night mode, keep in mind it takes like 5 seconds to take the picture! It'll take really awesome pics as long as you have light, but my friend has the v551, and its not damn near as light sensitive!
