Oh yeah, you also need a driver with the data cable so your computer knows how to talk to the phone. Some cables come with drivers, there are also some places to download them. Currently, I am using bluetooth + bitpim + miniSD card to get ringtone/wallpaper onto my 9800.|

I ordered one from them, but havn't received it yet, so can't really say anything about them. Have a good one! |

The last time i did this however, when i check in my ringtones from my phone it powers the phone off and then back on. It does it only when i go to my ringtones and not my sounds, where i have some clips i saved as well. I cannot access any of my tones now. does anyone know what to do to fix this? |

So your post confuses me. |

First ran Setup.exe from the LG folder (on the driver CD included), plug the cable in, then the cable works like a charm in BitPim! Much faster than bluetooth serial. I think I paid $12.18 USD total (including shipping/insurance/tax from S. CA to N. CA). Everything was packaged in a plastic shippingbag, so the car charger box was a bit squashed, no big deal. The USB cable looks a bit different from the picture in auction (no box in the middle of cable). It will charge your phone when it is plugged into the USB port. Pretty good deal.
