Does anyone here have Mobile Web service? Is it worth the $5.00/per month?

I use it occasionally. For looking up movie times, checking the news, sports scores when I am bored.

It is not bad. One thing to keep in mind is that it uses minutes during peak hours. I use it to access my Gmail account when I am away from my computer. I actually have the V-Cast package for $15 which makes it where you don't use your minutes at all so it is truly unlimited Mobile Web. The V-Cast videos are not that great, but it is cheaper than using up my minutes.

Mobile web 2.0 is pretty fast when using EVDO, i donot use it as much as i used too but i still like the option..I think its worth it..I used it for 3 months before a rep sent me a letter stating ive been using it and it wasnt coming out of my minutes..That was funny, i definitley notice it does now...

I think its worth it..When in a EVDO area its pretty quick..I used it for 3 months before a rep informed me i wasnt using any minutes when surfing..Funny, i notice now that they have fixed it..Its a nice option for news etc on the fly..You can try it and remove the feature if your not happy with it...

Pretty slow if you don't have EVDO. I cancelled it.

Works great for wiposting. Also using evdo is blazingly fast. 1x isn't as fast as evdo, but works well on wap sites.

I mostly go to wap.howardforums.com or m.gmail.com. Sometimes i check the weather.

I use wap.hollywood.com a lot to check times on movies. Especially after I'm already in the theatre, and looking for a second movie to sit in on. >
I also use google.com with the "define:" option to get word definitions sometimes.

The ESPN site under Sports is pretty good if you need to check scores. However, I wouldn't use this to read articles as they use a pretty small page size so you are pressing "next page" a lot.

Check out www.mobileweb4u.com to save over %50 a year versus Verizon's mobile web.
MobileWeb4U is only $24.95 a year for full WAP 2.0 service with many great links.

Yep, mobileweb4u is the ticket. Speedy and tons of links. I can check my gmail, weather with satelite pics and radar pics, movie times, and bunch of other things.
