Sharp 703 SH firmware problem?

Could use some advice or help.

I have a Sharp 703 SH with what is suppose to be the HK SX313 firmware.

If I check (*01763*8371#) the firmware code I get the following:

1.03Z
EMP: U100 5.0
OW: 7.0.2.1.e.1.101
APLIX: 1.27

according to the warranty in the box mine was purchased November 15th.

I thought the modified/hacked firmware would allow MP3 or ACC ringtones. But mine does not. I am able to do basically everything else except that. My friend who bought the real thing from Smartone/Vodafone can assign mp3 ringtones to his machine. Under his sounds folder he has some sort of key file/icon which allows him to assign mp3 ringtones.

Is this something I'm suppose to have with my version, or do I have a bad firmware?

hk firmware doesn't allow nondrm mp3 ringtones or acc ringtones.. u need them to be in DRM Format for it to work.

Haha I know eh? Everyone writes them as ACC, but it's really AAC.

oh hush kevin. tim is allowed a typo here and there. acc sounds better. air canada centre.
