I bought my KX2 last January and have had no problems with it until today. I have no earpiece sound. The only way I can make or receive calls is if I use the speakerphone. The volume is turned up all the way and it is not on mute. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Do you have the same problem with the phone swiveled open, AND swiveled closed? The earpiece speaker changes as you open/close the phone, from the round one on the swivel point, to the small speaker at the other end.

If you hear sound from one of them, then the problem is with the specific speaker. If it happens with both of them, then I'm not sure. I have not heard of any settings to disable earpiece volume completely. Even when setting the volume manually, you can't set it to zero.

Another thing to check is whether you have smart sound enabled. if you do, try disabling it.

Also, try adjusting the volume during a call to see if that does anything.

Lastly, check with your provider if they cover hardware problems, and they might give you a replacement.
