Motorola V710 to Cricket?

Earlier this year, I got a Motorola V710 through Verizon, but, ultimately decided to leave Verizon due to their high prices and go with the economical Cricket. I like my V710 and hate the Kyocera Dorado (slow pos) I bought on sale from Cricket. None of the phones in the Cricket lineup are appealing and I'd like to explore the possibility of switching my V710 over to Cricket, if possible.

I would appreciate any tips or advice anyone can give me. I will warn in advance, I have never tried altering or "hacking" a cell phone before, so please don't assume I know a whole lot, LOL.

How hard will it be to get Cricket to force the ESN into the system? Should I do this at a Cricket store or over the phone? I've been reading around and have found conflicting information. Some say Cricket is easily tricked into doing this, others say they don't need tricked and will gladly comply and yet others say they will under no circumstances add an ESN for a phone not branded by them and your only hope is to find a shady Cricket tech.

Any pointers for the method in which I contact them and what I should say to them?

I got Cricket to add the new ESN, but, I need the settings from my Kyocera Dorado (all the technical network settings) to imput in the v710. I found the way to access this special menu on the v710 but can't find any information on how to access this info on the Kyocera Dorado, a phone that has very little technical support avalible on line. Can anyone help?

you can use a program called PST to do it. its the PRL file you need to copy over, activate over the phone and they will do it. just say its a moto v260 or something.
