Verizon V3c Nothings working!

Ok first of all a lot of people are saying that the v3c works with bluetooth obex right out of the box. This is simply not true, I tried and I cant get my phone to work with any of the bluetooth services on my PC.

Second of all, after learning to seem edit, I found that none of my changes were doing anything. I would turn off a bit or turn on a bit to enable OBEX or the ring and vibrate option and it isnt doing anything. I know its saving because if I redownload the seem, it is what I uploaded. Anyone have any idea? (also post any confirmed verizon v3c edits here)

Third, Can the Verizon V3c Java loader be enabled, because when I use PST to read in a KJava file it says can not determine the number of NAMs on the phone. Any ideas?

I have to ask this, so don't take it the wrong way: After you upload the modified seem, are your restarting the phone?

The first couple times I tried (waaaay back with my v600) I wasn't restarting the phone so the seem edits could take effect.

Now with my V3 I'm good to go.

First post and you decide that you are the only one that is right about the V3c?

FYI... My V3c synched up via BT and OBEX was fully available right out of the box. All my seem edits worked the first time and I was able to use bitpim, PST, and MPT.

Sorry, didnt mean to sound like a jerk.

Well my friend works for Verizon and he said only a select few work out of the box. I took my laptop in, mine doesnt work, but his does.

Second of all, yes im restarting.

Sorry, dont mean to be a jerk noob, but it isnt true that they all work out of the box.

I just dunno my seems arent working...Im a computer science major so know im just not a moron when it comes to hex editing. Can anyone post their popular seem edits here (i especially wanna enable the java loader)

Ok heres the big thing I just wanna get out of this. Is it possible to enable my java loader? Because when I use PST I get this error.

Is there anything I can do to fix this. It seems to happen on anything where my phone needs to be suspended.

I really just wanna play games on this thing. I got MPT to work fine, I just want this to work.

I'm new to this as well, but I have had no problem with Bluetooth; just loaded the software that came with my Kensington adapter (model 33348) and it worked fine. In addition to moving ringtones and wallpaper to the phone, I've also done the edits to remove the Verizon Wireless branding, enable vibarate then ring, made new startup and shutdown animations, and changed the CL.gif (now, if I could only get rid of the Verizon splash screen!). The directions provided for these changes worked as stated. I must admit, however, that I use the USB cable more than Bluetooth.
I haven't tried to do anything with games, but thought that I had read that the V3c used brew and java games wouldn't work. My recollection may be totally wrong, as I personally know nothing concerning java or brew...to me, they are both beverages to be enjoyed. : )

The V3c does not support Java, there are rumors that the TeleUS flash (whihc has not been released/leaked) will support both Brew and Java, but the V3c from Verizon and alltel does not support it.

Also if you are having problems with Bluetooth go see what version of the Software you have on the phone. If it ends in .02 your bluetooth should work for OBEX if it ends in .03 it won't and no seem edit will reenable it, you would have to flash down to the .02 version (or just do what I did and load the Alltel Flash

)

thats the most in depth I've found
though I have yet to try it (I'm chicken sh*t)

Then do a search for seem edits 2742_0001
and you can enable vibe/ring and obex and a few other things

All of this is available HERE on this forum if you search for it

and I do Believe the 0032_0001 seem edits are for the GSM phones (cingular)
but no-one has verified that yet
