I got the Kyocera Dorado through Cricket and am disappointed with this phone. The lag is terrible and is easily, hands down, the most unresponsive phone I have ever owned. Among some of the complaints;
• A keylock that takes 4-6 seconds to unlock.
• Menu's and screens that take 3-4 seconds to open.
• Items from the main screen (date time) that occasionally don't go away for a few seconds after the main menu is opened.
• Calls that take 3-4 seconds to begin/end after button pressed.
• Occasional delay while composing text messages.
Did anybody at Kyocera bother testing this model or try using it before they released it for public use? On some review sites, others complained about the same issues. Does anyone know of a hack or solution to remedy this problem? I know Cricket installed a web browser (which I don't need) and a Cricket Clicks application (same thing as Verizon's 'Get it Now!') Display phones that have pictures of the main menu do not show these two items and I'm suspecting this phone wasn't designed memory wise to handle these extra's. I could be wrong, but, wonder if there is a way to possibly uninstall the web browser and possibly free up some space to speed the phone up.
Any suggestion or imput would be appreciated.
