Lock code?

Hey guys, quick basic question for you.
I've been thinking of doing some transactions in the B/S/T forum, and I'm about to send my phone to someone who seems trustworthy, but we all know how that can bite you in the ___. There's a lot of talk in the BST feedback forum about people getting burned once they send their phones off and not getting money, etc. So I'm thinking this ...
Send a phone with the "lock on power-up" option enabled. Then wait until I receive my phone/money/etc, and then provide the buyer with the lock code.
The reason I'm posting here, of course, is that I'm wondering how secure the lock code is. Can someone just plug in a data cable and read the lock code using RSS to circumvent this precaution of mine?
Thanks in advance ... just trying to avoid getting burned.

yes sorry to tell you this but most of the people that do visit this site on a normal basis are knowlegable in this area and can easly find the code and if they can't do it themself there are threads that tell how. Its best to sell your phone to someone that alread has established good feedback, at least then you know that others have not been ripped off by so and so.

I agree with the above posters and also want to add something. Be SURE that you ONLY send to a VERIFIED address when using paypal. Make sure you get his phone number, full name and then call it and verify it as well as verifying the address that way you have SOME protection if things go wrong and are able to report it. Again, make sure the users has good feedback from a variety of users.
Good luck!
