Loading games from SD card on the 903SH

Hey, just wondering if there's any way to play games from the miniSD card on the 903SH? ie. copying the .jar file to a directory on the miniSD card, and then having the Java library read from the miniSD card? or perhaps copying the .jar file from PC to miniSD, and then from the miniSD to the handset memory, and playing from there?

the cost of data transfer on my provider is 3 cents/KB, so for a 100KB game, it costs me 3 bucks!!!

If your 903 is japan flashed, than YES you can.
If NOT, forget 'bout it.

really??? so if I were to get the full unlock, I wouldn't be able to run games directly from the SD card? I'd still have to pay for the internet usage/data transfer?

and the only f/w that can do this is the JP beta unlock? UK, hybrid, HK, China, none of them can?

Japan beta unlock ONLY means japan beta ONLY.

The reason this trick works on the beta unlock is because the beta is basically a test mode of the phone, allowing you to do things you wouldn't normally be able to do.

I assume they added the synchronization feature for miniSD card to make it easier to test the java games(?) This way they wouldn't have to constantly be downloading through WAP in the "testing" process. I could be wrong though.

I see I see...
but the Japan beta unlock f/w has a lot of other issues, right? I guess I'll just stick with my HK f/w for now.

Yeah, it has some minor annoyances.

My suggestion would be if you already have a full unlock of some sort, just stick to it.

I used to like the beta unlock solely for the ability to play games from the miniSD, but it has lost its fun.. can't get many good games anyway, so I never play them anymore.

how do you change your firmware? do you bring it into a shop to do it, or do it yourself?
