Yea I'm a nokia fanboy and I even agree-- get the z520a, it's an amazingly well constructed device.

I'd go with z520a. I messed around with both phones...the z520 is quite a bit faster in terms of moving around in the menus. Also, I like the menu layout a lot better in the z520a. It's also a little smaller and better looking in my opinion.

I have the z520a and my wife has the 6102. The z520a blows it away! Feels solid and the BT feature is great. Only reason to get the 6102 over the z520a is if you want EDGE.

For build quality, I'd give the slight edge to the z520a.

Speaking of EDGE, though, it's GPRS only on the z520a, although you do get bluetooth.

No bluetooth on the 6102, but you do get EDGE.

I also believe Nokia's pc suite is far superior to SE's.

What brings your choice down to just those two phones?

16MB on the Z520a and Bluetooth make transfering ringtones/wallpapers/themes super easy if you have a properly equipped computer. The Sony Ericsson UI is great too. I vote for this phone.

I've used both phones and while the 6102 is a nice phone, I dont think that it can come to par against the Z520a when overall build quality is considered.

the 6102 feels like a child's toy that you would find in the .99 cents isle at your local Big Lots store. the Z520 feels much more rigid and it doesnt feel like it would fall apart quite as easily like the 6102 could.

another vote for Z520. I'm probably accustomed to SE's, but the 6102's UI didn't feel particularly intuitive.

The only thing bad about the SE, is you might need some time to adjust to having no dedicated call/end buttons. Otherwise, like the others have said, the Z520a is better in terms of reception and build-quality.

I have used both. The Nokia looks good, but the earpiece is horrible I could barely hear anything and it felt really fragile, like it would break if you dropped it a foot. I sent it back and got an Z520a. The SE has good reception, looks good, good earpiece, good speakerphone and all around good phone.
