Sup guys,

I don't own this phone, my friend does, she wants to put her MP3's as ringtones, so the first question i have is....is this possible? i fiddled with the phone for a bit trying to get it to work but i couldnt seem to find any way to do it. if it is, could anyone link me to a thread that explains it (if one exists) or tell me how to do it?

MP3's from iTunes? if that is what your asking then the answer is no

BUT MP3 Ringtones that you have personally cut up yes, if your using MPT just connnect the phone and go to the File Transfer thing or if your using a P2K program then the Cut up MP3's must go in the C:\Mobile\Audio partition

Save them to the phones memory too.

ive never used any program to upload my media except for mp3 songs (i used itunes). But for ringtones, java games, wallpapers and screensavers i just drag and drop to thier specified folders. Ive made custom ringtone and uploaded it straight to the phone. The rokr is one of the easiest handset to personalize... RokR Rocks!!

hmm....sorry, i never got to use the phone before. so when you plug the phone in it appears as a mass storage device? suppose i have MP3's that are on the memory card and i want them to become a ringtone, the ROKR was only letting me browse the files on the memory card and not letting me set it as a ringtone? although, like i said, i did not get to see how she put them on the phone....

you cant use them as ringtones....you have to make those seperately.

theirs free programs that you can use to cut mp3 to how ever long you want. mines about 15-30 sec. each .As for using it as a ringtone, you have to move the file from your trans flash to the phone. Drop your mp3 file in the audio directory (e./mass storage /mobile /audio) Mass storage appears in "my computer" when you plug the phone. After that make sure your phone is unplugged and youll find the mp3 in the multimedia section under sound. Just move that to the phone memory and you can access the mp3 in your ringtone selection.
