X around the service!

Help Me Ther Has Been An X Around My Service Bars For Like 6 Hours Already And Its Not Going Away And I Already Tried A Hard Reset And Now All My Information Wont Load And I Still Dont Have Any Service

probably the part by your sim card is loose.. take it to a tmobile rep or call up tmobile and do a handset replacement.

"IF" T-Mobile determines your SKII is somehow defective, they will send you another device to replace it. You send back yours.

It's a "bit" too early for anyone to talk about handset replacements as the OP hasn't had T-Mobiles WDG (Wireless Data Group) do a remote analysis of the device.

NOTE - You WILL pay outbound shipping for your "refurb'd" SidekickII should they decide to replace it. Also, the 1st refurb'd device I got when I had problems was garbage (cruddy keyboard mask, camera was awful, battery life was pathetic). I had to fight them tooth and nail for them to send me another.

im on my 5th one so .. i have had the x problem also.. it was not getting service where i normally had service.. i took it to a tmobile rep and he said my "sim card was old" which could be true since i have been with tmobile for awhile.. so he gave me a new one.. and THEN it just messed everything up.. the X was up there all the time .. so he called the sidekick rep for me on the tmobile phone and blah blah blah.. did the analysis watever ... and wala .. handset replacement.. its a ****** deal paying for shipping..

lmao i think it is the sim area is loose you have AIM or msn or yahoo??

I'll be quite impressed if someone can diagnose and determine if your phone is Defective, without even actually seeing your phone, but rather by talking to you over the telephone... That sure puts those Technical Service centres jobs to shame, tsk tsk

well they make u do a diagnosis .. i forgot where u go on ur phone but it pretty much is a check list for ur phone to go over and if it doesnt work.. the phone will not proceed to the next step of the list and then they determine its "defective" and send u another one.. im sure those tech reps get enough phone calls about defective sks...
