I also got mine from iTrimming (the car/home/cable bundle), for ~$13 shippinged. Works great, and it was rather cheap for 2 extra chargers besides the cable. Comes with a driver CD

I got one for .49 from iTrimming plus 6 dollars for shipping and mine works fine.

I got the same one, you get the drivers from the 3G website, took 2 or 3 downloads to get it right, but once I did, the cable compared with the new version of BitPim works like a charm! To get ringtones go on www.walmart.com click on music, download and save the 30 second song clip you want, drag it into Bitpim and upload it to your phone. Takes me about 15 second beginging to end to get a ringtone on my phone

Well, I ordered my data cable from accessorygeeks.com. Will be the last time I order from them.. I ordered on Friday the 13th.. They took my money on Friday the 13th. A week later, NO CABLE! I sent an email 2 days ago.. NO RESPONSE!! I called them today!! They told me the cable was on backorder. Was really nice to know that.. if I new that from the start, I would have said forget it. Not to mention they took my money a week before it even shipped!!!! Although they did say they were refunding shipping of $4.50. Big thrill! last time I do business with them! I could have had a cable by now, if I would have known they didn't have it to begin with! I rate them 2 out of 10 stars!!!

I have a connection with vzw to get the best employee discount. It's still expensive but it's quick and easy. Only, they don't have the 9800 driver. If I get the 8100 cable from them -- which is a straight cable, I think -- can anyone tell me how to get the right 9800 driver?
I have Windows XP -- or at least I will when I pick up my new laptop this weekend.

The driver should be the same. For the straight through cable it is the LG USB Modem driver.
