Hey guys

The purpose of this thread is tie up some lose ends. In no way am I trying to be cocky or anything like that about this collection (which is not even that great) Some people might find my story pointless, some might find the mods I did nice, who knows. I just need to do this because I have been waiting to post some pics here but never got the chance. Keep in mind this is back in the day when v600 first came out. Now I have a d500 and am looking to upgrade to a Nokia N70. Sorry guys, Moto was not for me.

I first noticed the v600 back when it first came out and after seeing all the nice mods people were doing to it on HoFo, I wanted to get it right away. I put the all black v620 housing on my v600 and also modded my girlfriends v400 and a friends v300. All those phone are broken and destroyed now, it HAS been a while. About a year of having my black v600, things started to stop working on the phone like speaker and camera was getting really bad. I decided to take apart the black v600 and try to revitalize it with no luck. I got my hands on like three old v600's and played doctor with them until I created a new all clear blue housing v600. I still have the blue v600 that I made and I am selling it so if anyone is interested, you can PM me.

I didn't want to use the new blue v600. So I got my hands on a Nokia 7260 and used it in the spare time until I got my d500. After using a Nokia candy bar type phone, I was definitely not going to get a Motorola flip again. I had to try different things out. Also, because I am older and wiser, I can’t screw around with housings and mods to my phones anymore.

Thanks to Da Rippa and some other guys whose names I cant remember right now who got me into modding my phone.

[flame]wow....pointless thread...i dont mean to sound like a jerk but i dont really see anything special, all you really did was just get housings off ebay and swap them...the antenna is nothing special at all....you just unscrew the thing and put a new one in.

but ya i like the v600 in the black v620 housing...everything else is just plain ugly IMHO, im just not a fan of clear housings...just looks like crap.

lol i like clear housings =) i want to get one for the e398 when it comes out; but i remember when chad was around making nice faceplates and then there were the nice metal polished antennas n metal pieces ahh the days =)
