Problem with First Charge for 903sh?

Hi people, I just received my 903sh from my friend who returned back from Japan. I am the type of person who pays attention to every detail like charging and discharging the battery perfectly so I can achieve 100% of the battery life. However, on my first charge, i completely drained the battery until the phone can't be turne on and then plugged the battery in for like a minute but I didn't realize the charge indicator is on the side of the phone with the red led. Therefore, I unplugged it and then when I plugged it in again, I realized that the indicator is on the side and not on the screen. I heard from many people and did some research that you are not supposed to unplug the phone on your first charge as this may wreck the battery or greatly shorten the lifespan of it. I also heard other stories that for lithium batteries, it doesn't matter what you do with them too much because they are new technology.
So is there a possiblity I screwed up my battery by unplugging it within the one minute that I was charging it? Do I need to fully drain the battery on first charge and then fully charge it for 24 hours and repeat this process 3 times? Or am I just worrying too much???
Sorry for this long post but I like my electronics in pefect working condition. I really hope i didn't damage the battery by unplugging it like that. And by the way, for future reference, can I unplug the phone after it has charged to say 75percent of the full capacity?

I have also heard that I should do this charge/discharge once a month to keep the battery at optimal conditions.

Sorry for all these questions regarding the battery but this is one of the most important parts of a phone!! thanks

I did the same thing when I first got mine and nothing happened.

I continue to do it, and see no problems at all. Battery life is still as amazing as ever. Many times I have it drained.. plug it in to charge, and soonafter, someone calls, and I pull it out and take the call.

Unless it's one of those fake batteries (check my other thread on that), you shouldn't have any problems with what you did.

thanx a lot kaizoku_san, I really really hope that what we both did had no effect on our batteries. after all, we didn't get these phones just so the lithium would mess up like that.

Thnx Timsta for the reassurance. I was so pissed off when i realized that I had unplugged my phone during the first 30 seconds of its charge cause I want to keep every part of this phone in perfect condition. Let me know if you're coming down on fri or sat Tim, ill set aside my time for sure! =0

With Lithium-ion batteries it's really ok. They're very flexible and don't have a lot of the annoying charging restrictions older batteries had (and they don't have memories either - you can recharge them whenever you like).

The only thing that will help the life of a Lithium-ion battery is in fact to use it less - in another words when the phone is near a charger keep it plugged in, as continuous charging and discharging is what eventually wears Lithium-ion batteries out.

Other than that there's no restrictions with them
