I was browsing through the forum and to my chagrin I found no review for the VS7. WHen the VS3 was out there was soo much congestion about the unit but has it all colled off? is there no one who has this phone who would like to share the delight or disgust with pics n stuff? please prove me wrong!
PS Im looking at the model myself so it would certainly help!

Well, i can't give you a full review, but i'll give you some pro's and cons and special stuff about it.
First off, the phone itself. Comes with USB cable, a software, Three faceplates (checkered black, checkered red, and a silver one with lines......) It also comes with a handy dandy screw driver to change the plates in a little baggy which includes two spare screws, left and right ear hands free headset, power adaptor (the place i got it from in PMALL, they gave me the one you use in HK, good thing they gave me an adaptor to convert it).
When you first pick up the phone, without the battery, it is surprisingly LIGHT, after inserting the battery, it only weights only a tad more. Its almost the same weight of a double disc cd case. (with the book, and the cds inside of course). There is a built in antena which makes it look really sleek. When you open it up the flip, with the auto flip button on the left hand side of the hinge, you will see the LARGE, piss you pants, sexy screen with its millions of colors just..just...candy to the eyes. When opened, the phone fits nicely in anyones hands, female or male. Since the keypad part of the phone is smaller than the screen. Its easier to get a firm grip, and it feels nice, like a comb. The keypad is well lit, Not the prettiest keypad design but everything is there to help navigate. The infared is located on the right side edge of the keypad, same with the camera activation, and volume up and down. The menu is really easy to use. Since you can customize the main menu icons, this phone will easily par up with the users taste. There are three themes built into the phone. Black, Aqua blue, and Leaf green. The external screen, 4096 colors is ...ok.. putting a regular picture there is not very clear. But hell, how many phones gives you a NICE external screen... i can't think of any. But to me, the external screen.i give it a 7 out of 10. The phone comes with a few built in external screen background. Which isn't really bright or amusing, both the screen and the backgrounds. Now the camera, since i've used the GD88, and the Nokia 6670. The VS7 camera is nice and bright, but when compared to the W900 or the 903 sharp. This is really far behind. There seems to be a problem with the reds. NO matter how bright or dark it is. you'll see alot of red dots. But for its price, this is good for taking fun pictures with friends...or upskirts. I find the camera to be a bit choppy. It is choppy when you move the camera around. just like the GD88's camera. The video, which i've only used once, is pretty good. Not choppy at all for some reason. But when replaying, its not tooooo clear, you see color blocks sometimes. Closing the flip and using the external screen as the view finder is quite convenient. Eventhough its not very clear, mainly dark. Its still doing a good job. But all in all, the camera gets a good 8.5 out of 10 from me. When closing the flip, you can set it to make noises and such, i won't even get too deep to that. Keypad can make noises and so on, well what phone doesn't. When closing the flip, the external screen will stay on for about 30 seconds or so and there will be a purple light blinking a few times right under the camera (where the photo light is). I find that kinda pretty. Theres actually a few colors to that you can choose. Purple, red, green and blue. You can set that light thingy to different color to different activities. For example, i set mine to red for incoming calls, and blue for messages. One thing i find inconvenient is that the external screen turns off when you leave the phone for 30 seconds or so. So when i want to see the time, i have to press the volume UP or down to activate the screen again. Not too annoying but there could of been an alternative like making it dimmer instead of turning it completely off. The earpiece is kind of hard to find the sweet spot, and the edge of the screen can irritate your ears a bit when using it too long. For the ring tones. Using MP3's, it gets kinda on the soft side, you can barely hear it. The good thing is that the ring tone doesn't come out of the ear piece, so for those butter fingers, if you didn't hit the Accept button to answer a call well enough and you bring the phone to your ears, it won't leave you partially deaf. There is a speaker built into the back of the phone just like the GD88. The vibration is weak. SO if you wear a couple pairs of pants, you won't feel the phone vibrating when you're walking. Standing still, you can feel a bit, but you'll doubt that the tingly feeling is your cell phone. Sitting down, well that yeah, you'll feel the vibration fine.
I don't know what else to say about the phone. Other things can be found in the forum i bet..so yeah.
Pros : beautiful screen, thin - sleek design, interchangable face plates, easy to navigate the menus, customizable menu icons, clear external speakers, auto flip function, useful external color screen, a good enough camera to just take fun pictures(but don't use it for art..haha), simple keypad, light weight.
Cons : No external memory slot, camera quality could be better, sweet spot on ear piece hard to find, sharp screen edge which will irritate ears, processing of picture kind of slow, choppy camera.
All out of 10
Design - 9
Camera - 8.5
Menu - 9.5
User friendly - 8.5
Sound - 7
Screen - 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Value - 8.5
hope this is good, its an informal review so don't yell at me. And thats all i know about the phone so far.haven't found any boogers yet.

Can you elaborate on the sound quality? Would it be difficult to hear a person using it in a mall or other relatively noisy area?
Posted by: 200sxsr
Actually its somewhere in the middle. Like i said, the earpiece "Sweet spot" is hard to find. If you're not dead on, you will not hear the other person. In a noisy mall, i really didnt have much problem. If you're on the sweet spot, you are totally fine no matter how noisey the place is.

Question can the Vs7 take its higher model batteris for longer life (like mx7) and so forth and if not what can i do or by to make battery life longer
Posted by: Rino808
another question is the speaker pohone full-duplex or half???and can you answer / make a call with the flip closed?? and just how soft is the volume in the ear piece???that is the only thing that is holding me back from getting this phone....i was woundering is it that bad that i wouldnt be able to hear the person if i was in a night club???or if you find the sweet spot on the earpiece it is loud???

Not sure about the VS7 taking the MX7 battery...but since its the same size..it might?? but the battery life is pretty good btw. i was using it for video's the other day, took around 12 video's and still had full battery after i was done. You can make a phone call when the flip is closed..if you put it on speaker..and close the flip, it becomes hands free, if you close the flip while on regular call, it will mute it. THe speaker is ok, not as loud as the SE's, but its decent. When using MP3s as ring tones ..find a way to up the volume before sending it into the phone so it could be heard better. If you don't find the sweet spot, its a bit soft, if you're way off, then you won't hear anything at all. I don't have much trouble using the earpiece. Honesty, you won't regret getting this phone. its awesome for its price.
