I reflashed my V3 with R374_G_0E.42.08R. Now my fonw wont turn on. I press the power button and the buttons light up for a few secs then go out. If i hold down the star and hash key and turn on the power it says:

Boot Loader
07.E0
SW Version:
R374_G_0E.42.08R

Battery OK
OK to program
Connect USB
Data Cable.

Is it ruine or can it be saved. My computer wont recognise the fone unless it is powered on.

I thought I screwed my phone. When you get into bootloader mode, connect the phone and try to reflash either that version OR a different flash version again. I previously had the exact problem and that is what worked for me.
You also might wanna try to install bootloader 826 on the phone also.
I think what I had to do was to install a flash that I KNOW FOR SURE worked (an old flash i had), install that in, then re-flash a new version

How can i get it to flash if my computer doesnt recognise the phone? When I use MultiFlashFlex the phone does not show up. When i try to flash the phone it tells me that no device is detected.

This is my problem - i think it is in Bootloader mode, but I cant get my computer (Win XP) to recognise it.

The next development:

I just made a bit of progress: got MFF to detect fone and I flashed it with

R374_G_0E.41.C0R_reflash.shx - and it reported that the flash had been succesful. However, the phone remains the same and when i turn it on with * and Hash pressed it reports that the SW version is this: R374_G_0E.42.0.8R

and the boot loader is 07.E0

I dont get why the relash has not replaced the software.

I've now updated Boot loader to 8.26

I've alre reflashed again, but this time to R374_G_OE.40.9CR_Motox.shx

And it still wont start up and when I go into bootlaoder mode it still shows 42.08R - i dont seem to be able to overwrite this

Now updated to 42.09R - Cingular.

Im in the UK and on Orange. The phone now switches on but none of the buttons work and the logos etc are for Cingular. I believe that R374_G_0E.40.9CR>motox.shx and Flex: GSM V3XXT674A09E works but I have Boot loader 0826 installed. Am i screwed?

try an unbranded flex for it..
