I couldn't find another post regarding this topic in my quick search, so if there is mention of this, please kindly link me to it...
So I've always wondered this, but what the heck is that small hole on the side of the screen on the SK2?? When the screen is closed, I'm talking about the small hole on the left side of the screen (the right side has "T-Mobile" on it. And when you flip the screen open, of course it goes to the right side.
It almost looks like it's a mini led light?? but I'm just wondering why it's there.
Anyone?

I think that is the light sensor. It detects if there is enough light or not for you to see the keyboard before its lights up.

Yes, ambient light sensor. You can select it from Settings>Battery & DIsplay. If checked, the screen backlight will not turn on (or tur off if it's on) if the light sensor detects that there's enough ambient light to not need the backlight. Using this can save battery life when using your device outdoors or in bright environments.

Hey! many thanks for the reply. Ahh I do see the ambient light sensor option in the settings menu.
Thanks very much!
