i just recently bought some software for my e1 rokr called mpt ,mobile phone tools but when i try to install my phone it says we have found your connection but there has been error! and then it says please select your phone model from these motorola phones and it has many phones but mine isnt thier what do i do i really want to put some themes ect on my new phone but it wont connect on any software plz help!!

if you are using MPT, remember to change your USB setting on phone to Data/Fax Connection, then connect it back with usb cable. oh wait.. maybe you need a newer version of MPT

im using the software as i want to edit the start up and shut down ect and themes but it says on the control panel thing that my phone is not connected so i was hoping the software i bought would connect it

plug in your cable to the phone and goto you device manager on the pc and update the motorola driver located from your mpt folder and not the windows own.

to edit your startup animations you'll need p2k software like p2kAE & p2ktools (which use the p2k.sys driver from pst program).
