Just wanted to see if any one besides me is interested in this phone. I am starting to save for this puppy now. I actually hope Cingular doesnt pick it up, so it will be exclusive... but with 850 and EDGE can see them getting it. Unless, Nokia still has the dibs on candy bars. Anyways heres a picture.

hahaha but yeah that phone looks amazing! i've been dreaming of the k750i or w800 coming to the states with 850 and hopefully i wont be disappointed!

i love NOKIA like none other, but my time with my T637 really left its mark. i'll pick this bad boy up.
so... eventually my profile will list a 'berry, this lovely, and the QD.
(although the 'berry may be a NOKIA E~sex~1 - meoww!)

as for this one and its predecessor...

i take no issue with the drop in onboard memory, for it is easily compensated, and hopefully may keep the cost down, but why is the FM radio always the first feature to be 86ed? it's a no-brainer feature inclusion, and yet appears on so few handsets. and when it does, the follow up model that usually fixes the bads then proceeds to drop one of the goods! what gives?

yep, what i want allright. 2mpAutofocus is what has me revved up, plus I loved my s710a, and this one supports duo Pro. and has 850.... umm it looks like i will be getting one of these.... YUMMMY

what a noob, i am, holding on to all the early reports that were later corrected. i have shamed myself and my family.

thanks for the links, i hadn't gotten around to searching out more deets, since it'll just leave me wanting more sooner. at least unlike other crappier phones, when you pay through the nose for a high-end SE you don't witness rampant price drops two months later. still gotta pay off some xmas presents on the plastic, though...

850, with what appears to be an attempt at juicing up the bland design by hijakcing the ipod wheel, underwhelming to say the least. i thought the next version would utilize sony's new memory format (psuedo-sd card). seems like another way to get hofo members to droll over a refaced w800.

Why do you want a shift in memory format? Is an MS-Duo 2 GIG card not enough. Sure beats the pants off an RSMMC in a series 60 device such as, oh, maybe a 7610b.

Yea it sucks. Linux powered (not a bad thing), ugly, poo poo camera, no more itunes support, typical terrible motorola UI. PhoneScoop has the deets.

plus 2 megapixel, small form factor, and it's sooo awesome looking

The SE will have a better camera and more internal memory, but the Moto uses a cheaper memory card format so u could easily have multiple cards.

The user interface is the all new linux OS that many, including myself, have been eagerly awaiting. I haven't tryed it yet but i have been using a SE z520 past couple of weeks, and i really like their UI.

My BIG question on the W810 is does it support stereo BT (A2DP profile)?? this is a huge selling point for the moto, IMO. I would also like to see the E2 with edge at least (maybe even wait 'til there's a decent 3G music phone) before i buy. the W800 is still $500 on SE's website, and $400 on ebay.

Nokia keeps forgeting that the Americas need 800mhz, so motorola, and SE will get the customer. I have always like Nokia, but it appears there are intentional loosing customers.

nokia forgets too.

6233, n90, n92, n70, n71...

and the next SE with the 3.2 mpx camera will probably forego 850. they all pretty much neglect us (except for moto ironically)

i never mentioned about anything being better, and nor am i going to accept your invitation to a pissing contest.

i honestly could care less if they changed their format or not. sony recently announced a new memory format that has a much higher cap than msproduo and their seven other formats. my comment was directed towards the fact that they will not incorporate their new technology, that this is a rebadged phone with not much more to offer than its predecessors.

I'm actually thinking of picking this phone up once it releases. My 6682 and my QTek 9100 are nice, but they both have their problems and don't really need a smartphone all the time so this would be nice to add to the collection

yes, it is coming to Cingular.

its "supposed" to be introduced in March, but we all know how that can go. especially with Cingular.

no, I dont work for Cingular, but my best friend does. he was at some sort of company meeting last week and they were talking about a few phones that Cingular has on their future roadmap and the W810i is one of those phones.

yeah i have a friend who works for cingular and is pretty accurate with releases and he says that the w810i is definately going to be released by cingular, reasonably by the summer.

You could always return the W600 within 30 days.... though I would not hold my breath on the W810.
