hello everyone! i got a vodafone sharp v802sh and i want to know EVERYTHING you know i am worried.

hehe^_^ well first i am living in toronto. and i am with ROGERS WIRELESS.
will this phone work? i hope haha and will i have problems?????
please tell meif you have any problems with this i want this phone to work very good for me!!! it is GSM so it should work and it a 3G PHONE so i thought it should. please let me know i have already bought these phone. i had a motorola razr so i have that sim card and everything thank you all sooo much for your help ^_^

p.s how much is unlcoking and who will do it??

a) yes it will work in toronto with Rogers, as long as you get it unlocked.

b) there are acouple places which will unlock it for you, I got mine done in the place in pmall, however they dont have a very good track record with that phone for whatever reason (they flashed mine to the euro firmware and it died alil' while afterward. I was talking with the guy who works there and they said they've had a few 802's die on them like that). Apparently there's also a place in first markham place that will do it as well (markham first place? I can never remember which way the name goes) but I honestly don't know much about em or if they're even there still. I think the average price is somewhere between 20-40 to get it unlocked.

c) I loved the phone when it was working. So, uh, you'll be happy as long as the thing lives

First Markham Place - i forget the store name but it is across from Guntai computer shop. They did my v802SH for $20, quick and VERY knowledgeable. I also heard Bongo Wireless across from FMP does it, but they aren't nearly as knowledgeable about the Japanese phones.

im sure bongo is more knowledgeable than Guntai. however, guntai is most likely cheaper

i highly doubt bongo is as good as Plus One.. the store across Guntai... they often seek advice from Plus One....

side note... I just dropped my 802 off at plus one and I have to admit I was very impressed with their knowledgability (pardon the spelling, i'm partly drunk while typing this

). In anycase, once I brought it in and described to him what was wrong the clerk told me the common cause of it and what not... even though I already knew what it was, it's always nice to be informed. Gonna cost me roughly 40 though... boo... but... hopefully they can fix it. So... plus one has my vote. decent business card design too

i agree w/ u faded-illusions.... prices range PLUS or MINUS 10$-20$... but going to Plus One gave me a really really good feeling.. that i wont be tricked due to their honest opinions and recommendation for my needs.. instead of forcing me into buying something that was more profitable for them... so... THUMBS UP for htem!!
