well after 3 hours of ****ing with my 870... i've found that mines plays better when i upload them at 8000hz, 32 bit, mono, mp3.... to edit i used adobe audition...

is anyone else running a high quality, other than this that may take up a little less space, or for that matter, just sounds a little more crisp, without the bass popping?

I use 48kb for all of mine...

If the bass sounds distorted, I simply run it throgh Audition's equalizer and normalization functions.

that software costs $300 bucks.... are there any cheaper ones out there... maybe free ones?

That may be the MSRP, but I paid about 100% less than that for it.

uhm.. i tried 22khz, 16-bit, mono.. don't try it. it has alot of static. :P
