so i was on my E1 ROKR a couple of minutes ago putting some 3gp videos on it and everything went normal, however i have my HS850 bluetooth headset on and i know that you can't play music thru it, however after i put the videos on my phone i went to play them and forgeting that i had my bluetooth headset on i forgot to disconnect it. all of a sudden music starts comin thru my headset. the question i pose is does this work with all .3gp videos? and can't you just convert a mp3 to a 3gp to get ur music streaming thru ur bluetooth. I thought that you needed ad2p (or was it a2dp) profile to do music thru headset...

My V710 had a glitch where audio from certain vids would play over the headset..

Java Games go through too. Not all, but the real nice ones do like the ones from Macrospace. Ones where even if you have your sound off in the java settings, but say "Yes" to audio when it prompts you.

I know Macrospace's Bowling, and the War of the Worlds, and that crusader fighting game. I haven't tried all, but most do.

I think the ear peice will play wav files or specific audio files. Some kinda codec that games use and videos when they are encoded. I dunno, but ain't no boby gonna tell me that my mp3's won't play.

We'll find a way.

prolly neither, i'd say its just the way it is. Those java games always did that, regardless of what combination of software i had on it.

I think its a codec or something.

I've never tried the videos, but ya never know. it might be a firmware.

It is the phones that restrict the data flow. The headsets, if paired with other non-motorola phones, will play things fine (depending on the features that are allowed through the bluetooth)

For example, Motorola restricted java usage down to no bluetooth and no camera access. Why?

And a bluetooth headset blows with motorolas because personal listening is non-exsistant. Audio through a bluetooth headset is supposedly only to allow voice from a call, and basic beeps and tones (not even polyphonic).

Bluetooth and Java are both really restricted. It kinda sucks being that these two offer great expandability in the future of their phones.

I'd love a bluejacking program. or the ability to listen to my mp3's with my bluetooth headset

i tested some further things with my phone to discover that only files on my transflash card will play thru the headset and it must be a 3gp video, a mp3 file in my sounds directory won't play... this is wierd...

Is there any way to fix this most annoying problem?
I must get music through my BT headset!!!
