I have had nothing but probs with getting Webjal to go and now have read that it doesn't work with Windows XP Media Center. Are there any other loading programs that work with media center?

WebJAL works perfectly fine with two of my Media Center PCs ... Windows MCE is actually just Windows XP Professional with a couple additional programs that have absolutely no effect on how WebJAL works.

Well I havn't been able to get it to work with it and some pretty good sites have it on there sites that Nextal software does not work with Media Center right now. So I guess I'll keep looking thx...

Saying Nextel software doesn't work with Media Center is the EXACT same thing as saying Nextel software doesn't work with Windows XP. WINDOWS XP MEDIA CENTER is 100% EQUAL to Windows XP Professional. Same EXACT OPERATING SYSTEM. 100% identical.

Don't know what to tell you but that is what has been said by many and I talked to a few who called Iden directly and they were told Webjal doesn't work with Media Center..

Then the program did load and was succsfully installed correct? I get this error too under XP home. Restart phone and computer and try agin, MAke sure the braud rate is on auto ect...

Just keep trying and install agin if you still have problems just cuz it wont comunicate does not mean that its a single problem, maybe you don't have the correct drivers installed? did you click the use USB box?

Moto and nextel just said that they don't officaly cover MCE but that does not mean it will not run.

If you don't get it the first time try agin don't be so quick to give up not eveything is easy

Ok thx for the advice, but it's not like I just got the phone and have only tried the program for a couple of day's. This has been going on for over 3 months now and just recently have read about the Media Center stuff.

I have been through a bunch of sites, tried all the methods everyone has suggested and just like alot of people with Media can't get it to go for whatever reason. Thats why I was asking about another loader.

Same problem
The only way i can get it to work is to

1. start the program i want to use (ex. webjal) but dont try to connect phone yet

2. go to control panel, then phone and modems then delete nextel modem

3. then connect phone to usb wire and reinstall drivers and soon as it say finish install ready to use i click connect to phone on webjal and it works

but every time i want to use it i must do this process all over
